AXA XL has announced the appointment of Laëtitia Lebas (pictured above) as the head of mid-market for the APAC and Europe regions.

In her new role, Lebas will be responsible for executing AXA XL’s mid-market strategy across Europe, Asia, and Australia. She will closely collaborate with AXA XL’s regional teams, local leadership, and AXA’s local general insurance entities.

Lebas began her journey with AXA France in 2012 as a global account manager for AXA Santé Collective. Over the years, she has taken on various roles, including international sales director for AXA Creditor, regional director for Western Europe, and legal representative for Genworth entities in France.

In 2017, she joined the Executive Committee of AXA Partners France and was subsequently appointed as sales director for Credit Lifestyle Protection and Motor & Banking Assistance. Before her tenure with the French conglomerate, she also held roles at BNP Paribas Assurance, AIG, Viel, and Euler Hermes.

AXA XL Southern Europe regional manager and APAC & Europe mid-market initiative executive sponsor Julien Guénot welcomed Lebas into her new role, saying that her proven track record within the company will prove to be invaluable in collaborating with teams to build its mid-market offering.

“Our leadership in the large commercial property, casualty and specialty insurance markets is well established. Building on our knowledge of working with large corporates to bring our expertise to larger mid-market clients, in collaboration with other AXA entities, is a clear opportunity,” Guénot said.

Recently, AXA’s specialty risk division also announced the addition of a chief client officer function to its ranks, with Manuel Meier taking over the role.
