AXIS Insurance has promoted Nicole Lim to deputy chief underwriting officer for Singapore, effective immediately.

In her new role, Lim oversees AXIS’s insurance business in Singapore, as well as managing the office’s day-to-day operations.

Before the promotion, Lim was vice president, underwriting, for AXIS’s Singapore office. She continues to report to Rory MacGregor, head of regional hubs and international distribution.

“Nicole has built a strong reputation within the Singapore market and is a seasoned underwriter with deep expertise across all energy specialty classes,” MacGregor said. “She has helped foster collaboration between our Singapore team and with our other offices, further enhancing the service that we provide to our clients.”

Lim joined AXIS in 2013. She has 16 years’ experience in the insurance industry, having worked for Allianz, Liberty, and Aon Risk Services in a variety of underwriting roles.
