Brokerslink has appointed Osama Abu Ghazaleh as regional manager for the Middle East. According to the brokers’ network, it now has a dedicated representative committed to promoting the growth and development of its independent brokers in the region.

Ghazaleh, general manager and executive vice president at ACE Insurance, will be responsible for supporting independent brokers in the Middle East, a statement by Brokerslink said. He will also facilitate greater communication and collaboration between Brokerslink’s representatives both within the region, and with the wider global network.

Prior to the appointment, both the Middle East and African regions were represented by Tiago Mora. However, Brokerslink said that its chairman, José Manuel Fonseca, believes that at this stage of the company’s development, it is important to separate these areas.

“The Middle East and Africa are two large and diverse regions with very different economies, markets and cultures,” Fonseca said. “As we continue to strengthen our presence in both territories, we recognize the importance of refocusing our regional structure to ensure that our partners and affiliates can benefit from a dedicated strategy and focus.  I’d like to thank Osama for agreeing to take up this role; his knowledge and expertise in the Middle East broking market will be incredibly valuable to Brokerslink.”

Ghazaleh’s appointment completes Brokerslink’s regional team, joining Ariel Couto (Americas), Christos Gavriel (Europe), Sid Garcia (Asia-Pacific) and Tiago Mora (Africa).
