International property and casualty (P&C) insurer Chubb has appointed Jen Ong as independent broking manager for Singapore, effective June 01. She reports to Liam Burrell, division head of P&C, and Koh Wei Lee, division head of accident & health and personal business insurance

Ong also reports in matrix to Benjamin Carey, head of broking for Asia Pacific.

As independent broking manager, she will spearhead and manage businesses in Singapore via Chubb’s independent broking network across all lines. She will also lead business development efforts to deliver excellence in underwriting and service to independent brokers and clients.

Prior to the promotion, Ong was senior personal lines specialist for accident & health and personal business insurance, where she was in charge of business development and forming affinity and intermediary partnerships to drive Chubb’s expansion plans.
