PT Chubb Life Insurance Indonesia has appointed Naresh Krishnan as its new president director, succeeding Kumaran Chinan, who has retired after leading the company for eight years.
The leadership transition forms part of the insurer’s strategy to deepen its presence in Indonesia’s life insurance market.
His appointment brings more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and asset management sectors across Asia such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Indi
Prior to joining Chubb Life Indonesia, Krishnan held responsibilities spanning business expansion, distribution development and team leadership. He served as president director at Principal Asset Management Indonesia and has also held positions at AIA Financial Indonesia; Sun Life Grepa Financial in the Philippines; Manulife China Bank Life Assurance Corporation in the Philippines; and Manulife Asset Management Indonesia.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning and a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola College, Madras University.
Under Krishnan’s leadership, the company aims to place greater emphasis on product innovation and customer-centric solutions. Management has indicated that strengthening distribution capabilities and delivering more personalised insurance offerings will be key priorities in the next phase of development.
Sang Lee, president of Southeast Asia and New Zealand at Chubb Life, said the appointment is intended to support the company’s long-term ambitions in Indonesia, citing Krishnan’s regional experience and strategic outlook.
Lee also acknowledged Kumaran Chinan’s contribution to the company during his tenure.
