Crawford & Company has appointed Nathan Hannah (pictured) as managing director, overseeing claims operations in Malaysia.

Hon Mun Choong, who served as Crawford Malaysia’s CEO for the past thirteen years, will transition from an executive director to a non-executive director on the Malaysian board. Hannah, currently head of Crawford TPA in Asia, will take over leadership of the company’s operations.

“I am pleased with the leadership transition as we turn into the next chapter for Crawford in Malaysia,” said Veronica Grigg, Crawford’s president for Asia. “On behalf of Crawford, we thank Mr Choong for his leadership and dedication, and wish him all the best in his new role.”

Hannah has more than 25 years of senior leadership and executive experience in the Asia-Pacific region. He was previously based in Singapore as well as Indonesia. Hannah is based in Kuala Lumpur and reports to Grigg.

“Nathan’s experience in the region is invaluable to us as is his continuous focus on both risk management, data sharing and quality that sets the industry benchmark,” Grigg said. “His expertise ranges from underwriting to claims adjustment and will be an asset to our business in Malaysia. We are excited to have Nathan lead our Malaysia operations as we work closely to deliver on our purpose to restore and enhance lives, businesses and communities.”
