Ed Broking (Ed), the global specialty broker, has appointed Kristina Juul as its new head of casualty in Bermuda, effective November 01, 2021.
A Bermudian with international experience, Juul brings to Ed more than 13 years of industry experience, having held senior positions in the Bermuda and London markets. Most recently, she was a senior vice president at Marsh Bermuda. She was also a divisional director for casualty at BMS, specialising in energy.
In her new role, Juul will report to Colin Kelley, head of liability, Ed Broking Bermuda. Kelley welcomed Juul to the team, noting her “strong reputation and demonstrated success of building business from the ground up.”
“Attracting an individual of her calibre is a testament to the quality of operations we have established in Bermuda, and her experience will be vital in the expansion of our platform here,” Kelley added.
Paul Scope, executive director, Ed Broking Bermuda, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Kristina to our team. A talented Bermudian with international experience, she will galvanize our casualty offering to independent brokers and their clients. I'm particularly looking forward to working with Kristina in developing our energy practice.”
Juul said she is thrilled to join the casualty team in Bermuda, expand the company's casualty offering, and return to her “independent roots.” She added: “I continue to be impressed by Ed, whose commitment to Bermuda and enthusiasm for this exciting venture is unwavering. Colin and his team have worked hard to build a solid foundation and a burgeoning business, and I look forward to contributing to Ed's ongoing success.”
