Ed hires Jani to lead India and MENA unit
Global reinsurance specialty brokerage Ed has appointed Minesh Jani as chief executive officer of its Indian, Indian sub-continent, and Middle East & North Africa (MENA) business.

An insurance veteran with more than two decades of experience, Jani joins Ed from Aashvaasanam Analytics Limited in Mumbai, a firm which he founded to support the launch and growth of an international reinsurance business.

Prior to that, Jani headed the treaty reinsurance business in India for the Willis Group. He also was manager of ICICI Lombard General Insurance’s reinsurance unit.

“Minesh is the ideal candidate to lead the expansion of our MENA, Indian and Indian sub-continent business,” Steve Hearn, Group CEO of Ed, said. “He joins with an exceptional track record and his expertise is indicative of our philosophy. He brings a level of local market understanding which will increasingly become a key aspect which differentiates Ed from its peers. I am delighted to welcome Minesh to the team.”
