FWD General Insurance has appointed Min-Jie Ye (pictured) as head for Hong Kong. She began her new role this month, based in the company’s Hong Kong office.

According to a statement from the company, Ye is in charge of driving the creation of next-generation general insurance products and growing the customer base. She has more than two decades of international experience in the insurance industry, most recently as head of specialty of Zurich Insurance’s commercial division. Earlier in her career, she worked for AIG and Marsh, in a variety of businesses, including financial and professional liability, commercial and marine.

Ye began her insurance career in Chicago, before holding roles in Hong Kong and Singapore. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Lake Forest College in Chicago.

FWD General Insurance is part of the digital general insurance offering of bolttech, the international insurance arm of Hong Kong-based Pacific Century Group.
