Hyperion Insurance Group has announced the appointment of Richard Houghton as interim group chief financial officer. Houghton will undertake a full handover from Oliver Corbett, the current group CFO, before Corbett leaves the company later this month.

“I am delighted to welcome Richard to the Group,” said David Howden, Hyperion CEO. “His experience in the financial and insurance sectors, including 10 years as CFO in FTSE 100 and S&P 500 companies, make him a strong addition to our executive committee.”

Houghton most recently served as interim CFO at the Co-Operative Insurance Society. He has also served as group CFO at RSA Insurance Group and Aspen Insurance. Houghton began his career at Deloitte and spent 10 years in the banking sector, serving in a number of senior financial roles with National Bank of Australia and RBS.
