Two global re/insurers to share insights on the adoption of new technology in the conference’s second edition

The second Insurtech & Blockchain Conference will take place in South Korea on March 20, where top re/insurance firms such as Tokio Marine and Munich Re will be sharing their insights.
The event, to be held at the events hall of the Seoul Posco P&S Tower, will feature Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., one of the industry leaders in adopting insurtech into their business operations.
Munich Reinsurance, one of the leaders of B3i, a global blockchain consortium, will also be present at the conference.

Kim Jung Eun, CEO of Korean start-up firm Small Ticket, will make a presentation entitled “Rethinking about Insurtech”, about the role of technology in the Korean insurance industry, giving recommendations for sustainable innovation from the start-up point of view. Small Ticket is a peer-to-peer platform for distributing insurance via connected groups and controlled risks.
Korean blockchain firm Enterple will provide an in-depth session on blockchain and how insurers can benefit from it.
Finally, research and consulting firm Celent will provide an Asia-wide perspective about the state of insurtech and blockchain and discuss the challenges and opportunities the industry faces. Celent was also present in the first edition of the conference, held in September 2016.
