JLT Re Korea appoints new CEO

Appointee has 23 years’ experience in various sectors of the insurance industry

Reinsurance company JLT Re has appointed Jong Kuk Moon as chief executive of its South Korean branch. He will be based in Seoul and report to Kenny Moyes, CEO of JLT Re Asia.
 
Moon will oversee business development and strategy across treaty, facultative, analytics and strategic advisory on behalf of the firm’s core clients in Korea.
 
Before joining JLT Re, Moon spent 23 years with Korean Re. He has significant experience in property, liability, aviation, marine, and various other areas of mutual reinsurance and insurance, especially in the government sector.
 
The company said in a statement regarding the appointment: “As a veteran underwriter across a number of business classes and geographies, Moon’s expertise and experience will be invaluable in helping to drive JLT Re Korea’s business, as it delivers complex solutions that meet clients’ needs.”
