Long-time JLT senior executive Martin Hiller will be retiring from the company after spending nearly three decades in the insurance broker group.

Hiller joined the company in 1988 and held many roles, most recently serving as executive chairman of JLT subsidiaries Thistle and GCube.

Under his leadership, GCube was established as a managing general underwriter (MGU), JLT said.

Hiller is best known for being the CEO of JLT Specialty for nearly 10 years. He also served as director of JLT Independent India and CEO of JLT EMEA and its MGU business.

“Martin played a leading role in transforming and then establishing JLT Specialty as the force it is today,” the company said.

JLT credited Hiller with playing a “central role in the creation of what is today, the leading London Market construction capability.”

Dominic Burke, JLT Group CEO, thanked Hiller for his services to the company.

“Throughout his long and distinguished career at JLT and in all the various roles he has filled, Martin has been a key contributor to making JLT the strong and successful group it is today, with its distinctive emphasis on putting clients' needs at the centre of all that we do,” Burke said.
