Markel International has hired Gordon Lam as senior professional and financial risks (PFR) underwriter.
Lam has over 30 years’ experience in insurance, and joins Markel from Beazley where he was underwriting manager. Before that, he was with Citystate Asia Pacific Insurance as senior development and special projects manager.
Initially based in Singapore, Lam is expected to relocate to Hong Kong in due course. He will work closely with Simon Moi, Markel’s head of PFR in Singapore, and will manage and underwrite financial lines and casualty business in the Asia region.
