Miller appoints new Singapore-based specialist broker

Miller, an independent specialist (re)insurance broker, has announced the appointment of Craig McCoig-Lees as a treaty and facultative casualty and financial lines specialist broker.

McCoig-Lees will support the expansion of Miller's Facultative and treaty reinsurance offering in Asia, with a focus on casualty and financial lines.

He will be based in Miller's Singapore office.

McCoig-Lees, previously the head of broking, casualty at Lockton International in the Asia Pacific market, brings valuable expertise to his new role.

With over 10 years of experience in Singapore and prior positions at JLT Re Asia, Cooper Gay, and R K Harrison, Craig's appointment is expected to bolster Miller's presence in Asia.

"Miller already has a strong reputation within the specialty classes here in Singapore, and I'm excited about contributing to its continued growth in Asia. I'm looking forward to applying my experience in both the Asian and London markets to help Miller's clients achieve their objectives," McCoig-Lees said.

"We're pleased to announce Craig's appointment to Miller in Asia,” said Ron Whyte, head of Asia at Miller. “His deep local knowledge and experience across casualty, financial lines, and treaty reinsurance will play an important role as we seek to broaden our franchise in Asia," said Whyte.
