General insurer MSIG Holdings Asia has appointed Richard Da Silva (pictured) as executive vice president to lead the finance department.

Based in Singapore, Da Silva will report to regional CEO Alan J. Wilson, and will oversee regional finance, investment, financial planning, reporting, and the company’s finance operations.

Da Silva brings with him over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining MSIG, he was regional controller for ASEAN at Marsh & McLennan Companies and chief risk officer of Marsh Singapore. He has held several finance, investment, and audit roles in Singapore and regionally.

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, Da Silva obtained his bachelor of accountancy degree from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.
