MSIG Insurance (Hong Kong) has received a Laserfiche Run Smarter Award for 2018, in recognition of its online claims system’s use of technology.

Laserfiche, an international provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software, launched the Run Smarter Awards in 2005 to recognise organisations’ innovation efforts in managing content and automating processes to drive business value. The 2018 edition of the awards was held on February 07 during the Laserfiche Empower Conference in Long Beach, California.

According to a statement by MSIG Hong Kong, since the launch of its new EASY claims system, over 80% of its online customers have submitted their claims using the online claims submission system. This has made submissions easier for online customers, as they are no longer required to send hard-copy documents and can instead upload all supporting information through the platform.

“The launch of the EASY Claims System is vital to our business because our strategy goes beyond offering a broad range of products to our customers – it also emphasises delivering better customer service and enhanced customer experiences with MSIG,” said Philip Kent, CEO of MSIG Insurance Hong Kong.

The new system also provides instant confirmation upon successful claim submission via email and SMS, which MSIG says provides clients with more peace of mind. Permitted agents and brokers are also able to instantly view information and documents submitted by their clients through a secure digital process that manages all interactions.
