Prior to the promotion, Duggan was claims director for the unit. Before joining Ironshore, he spent close to a decade with Zurich American Insurance Companies where he served in multiple roles over the years, including team manager for environmental claims, claims counsel, and site pollution underwriter. He also worked at AIG as a claims analyst for the financial and environmental sectors.

“Tom has become an integral part of the environmental claims team and is intimately knowledgeable of the risk management and claims patterns of insureds within this specialist sector of the global insurance industry,” John O’Brien, CEO of Ironshore Environmental said. “Tom’s appointment reflects our confidence in his professional abilities to continue to be responsive and forward-thinking in helping environmental parties address risk exposure and resolve claims in a timely, efficient manner.”
