New head of financial lines at Allied World

Appointee joins from one of the top property and casualty insurers in the US

Allied World Assurance Company has appointed Jacqueline Hall-Shaw as vice president, professional lines division. Based in London, she will report to Martin Heathfield, senior vice president, Professional Lines.
 
Hall-Shaw has more than 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry. She joins Allied World from Travelers Insurance, where she was most recently head of financial institutions. Previously, she has worked at Axis Specialty Europe, Brit Insurance, and Liberty Mutual.
 
Julian James, Allied World’s president for global markets, commented on the appointment, saying: “At Allied World, we continue to invest in our people to stay ahead of our clients’ evolving needs, and Jacqueline’s knowledge and expertise make her the ideal appointment to head our financial institutions offering. She will have responsibility for the oversight and expansion of our existing FI portfolio as well as the development of our FI team.”
