Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) was announced as one of the sponsors for the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from August 19-31.
 
PAMB has been designated as a “silver sponsor” and the official insurance partner of the Southeast Asian Games.
 
The deal will see PAMB provide insurance for all of the sporting event’s volunteers, including those for the Ninth ASEAN Para Games which will take place from September 17-23. PAMB will also put up billboards all over the country to promote the events.

Khairy Jamaluddin, Youth and Sports Minister of Malaysia, told SportsPro that the deal is worth between MYR1 million (US$226,000) and MYR3 million (US$678,000).

The Southeast Asian Games is held every two years, with 11 nations participating in 38 sports for this edition. This will be Malaysia’s sixth time hosting the Games, with the closing ceremony also coinciding with the country’s 60th Independence Day on August 31.
