Kuan has more than 25 years of experience in the Asian insurance industry. He has held senior roles across several business areas, such as strategic management, financial, product management, business development, distribution, and operations.
Kuan spent 18 years with Prudential, where he held senior roles including CEO for new markets (Asia), president director and CEO for Indonesia, chairman for Taiwan and chairman for Laos. As CEO for new markets, he was responsible for Indochina, South Asia and South America, assessing new market opportunities, managing market entry options and ensuring the successful launch of operations, QBE said.
He also served as chairman for PT Avrist Assurance, am Indonesian composite insurance company and was a senior advisor for Deloitte Consulting – Insurance, Southeast Asia.
Kuan is a fellow of CPA Australia and holds an MBA in international management. He also completed senior executive programs at Harvard Business School and Oxford University.
