Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Jack See (pictured above) as head of Malaysia and principal officer of its operations in Malaysia. He will succeed Juerg Stoll, who is set to retire on Jan. 21.

See will relocate from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur for this role, where he will be responsible for managing operations and driving profitability in the Malaysian market. He will lead a team of sales and underwriting specialists servicing large and upper-mid-sized businesses through broking partnerships and other intermediaries. He is currently head of casualty and finpro for Southeast Asia, a role he will hold concurrently with his new roles.

“Jack is deeply familiar with the insurance landscape in Malaysia, having held several roles at Swiss Re since joining the company in 2015,” said Didier Bélot, head of Southeast Asia, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. “His extensive network, coupled with his industry and local market knowledge, makes him the perfect choice to lead our ongoing growth and momentum in the market. Jack will continue to drive sustainable growth while delivering strategic business propositions and partnerships to better serve our Malaysian clients.

“I would also like to extend our sincere gratitude and thanks to Juerg for his contributions in establishing a strong local team in Malaysia and wish him all the very best in his future endeavours,” Bélot said. “Juerg has been instrumental in opening the Labuan branch in Malaysia. As head of Malaysia and principal officer, he successfully established a dedicated and high-performing team servicing Malaysian corporates through collaboration with our partners. Juerg will be missed especially in Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region.”
