Swiss Re has appointed Chee Foo (pictured) as regional head of life & health business management for Asia.

Based in Singapore, Chee will lead a region-wide team of actuarial, accounting and claims management professionals to manage the in-force business operations of the reinsurer’s life and health portfolios.

Chee joined Swiss Re in 2002, and has held various roles in multiple global markets, such as the UK, Hong Kong, Australia, and Switzerland. Most recently, he was regional pricing actuary with Swiss Re Asia, where he led the central pricing team, covering markets in Southeast Asia, India, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

A fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, Chee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in actuarial science from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has been based in Singapore since 2014.

“Over the past two decades, Chee has played a crucial role in developing and growing Swiss Re’s global and regional life and health business,” a statement from the firm said.
