Malaysian general insurance group Tune Protect has appointed Iskandar Ezzahuddin Ahmad Zulkiflee as group deputy chief executive officer, effective immediately.

As deputy CEO, Iskandar will help accelerate Tune Protect’s endeavours to become a leading digital insurer, by driving the development of innovative digital products and services across the group’s markets, according to an exchange filing by the company.

Prior to joining Tune Protect, Iskandar was Malaysia country director for financial comparison start-up GoBear. He also has extensive experience in consumer marketing, digital performance marketing and product management, having worked in firms such as Procter & Gamble, Nestle, OUB, and Citibank. He is a founding member and member of the executive committee of the Fintech Association of Malaysia.

Iskandar graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and finance from Liverpool John Moores University.
