Willis Towers Watson has made three important appointments for its Hong Kong and Macau market, with Roger Steel as managing director, Ted Hodgkinson as head of corporate risk & broking, and Noel Goh as head of talent & rewards.

Steel’s appointment was effective February 12, and he is based in WTW’s Hong Kong office.

Prior to joining the company, he held various leadership positions, including CEO of Sun Life Hong Kong. He brings over 35 years’ experience in insurance and consulting to his role, along with strong knowledge of the local market, having worked in Hong Kong for 19 years.

“Roger brings a wealth of expertise across business strategy and partnerships to the

400-plus colleagues he oversees. His track record and experience in consulting, life insurance and pensions will be invaluable to our team regionally,” said Scott Burnett, head of Asia at Willis Towers Watson. “In the coming months, Roger will focus on leveraging resources to deepen our client understanding and relationships across Greater China, the key growth engine in Asia-Pacific.”

Hodgkinson has been an insurance professional for over 20 years, 15 of which were spent holding senior leadership roles in Hong Kong and other markets in the region.

Meanwhile, Goh has worked as a strategic adviser to senior leaders in the private and government sectors across Asia-Pacific and previously held a regional leadership role with Aon Hewitt. He is experienced in talent management, culture shaping, and in the leadership development and assessment fields.

Both Hodgkinson and Goh joined Willis Towers Watson in December 2017.
