“We are now WTW.”

Those were the words of Willis Towers Watson (WTW) chief executive Carl Hess when the company’s rebrand was announced. The branding shift coincided with the broking giant’s change in its ticker symbol on the Nasdaq stock market.

After trading under the “WLTW” ticker from 2016, the firm now uses “WTW,” with the switch effective on January 10.

As for its visual identity, WTW now features a new logo on its website and social media accounts.

“Our name and brand reflect the clarity and actionable solutions we bring to today’s challenges,” said Hess, who leads 45,000 WTW employees.

In a separate statement, the CEO said: “Changing our ticker symbol is just one of the ways we are simplifying to increase our agility and effectiveness, as we move forward as a strong and independent WTW.”

With roots dating to 1828, the business that was founded by Henry Willis currently serves over 140 countries and markets. WTW, which describes its offerings as data-driven and insight-led, specialises in the areas of people, risk, and capital.
