WTW has appointed Iris Chan (pictured above) as head of corporate risk and broking (CRB) for Hong Kong, effective July 25.

In addition to her existing role as executive director of WTW’s construction business in Hong Kong and Macau, Chan’s responsibilities have been expanded to include all aspects of CRB business in Hong Kong and Macau. She will work with the local and global lines of business to drive business growth in these markets, WTW said.

With over 20 years of experience, Chan held various senior positions with major insurance brokers in Asia before joining WTW in 2012. Since then, she has been expanding the construction team and construction business for WTW in Hong Kong and Macau.

“Iris has established a strong track record in leading our construction business in Hong Kong,” said Luke Ware, WTW’s head of CRB for Asia. “She has always put client focus, teamwork, integrity, respect and excellence in making every decision so as to achieve the best outcome for our clients. We are confident that she will continue to build on these values and leadership to accelerate our business together with the rest of our CRB offerings in strengthening the resilience of organisations in Hong Kong and Macau.”

Last year, Chan was part of Insurance Business Asia’s Elite Women list, which recognises female insurance professionals that go above and beyond for their clients and organisations, as well as champion diversity. She was also featured as one of the outstanding professionals in the 2022 Insurance Business Global 100 list in March.

“I’m excited to be given this opportunity to lead our CRB business in Hong Kong,” Chan said. “Together with our colleagues, we will continuously offer innovative insight and perspectives, as well as customised risk transfer and mitigating solutions to our business partners and clients.”
