XL Catlin appoints head of claims for EMEA

Appointee to head insurer’s claim teams in 12 markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa

Global insurer XL Catlin has announced the appointment of Elina Selin as head of claims, EMEA. She will be leading the company’s claims teams in 12 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
 
Selin joins XL Catlin from Zurich Insurance, where she was claims business partner for the EMEA region. She has over 30 years’ experience in various claims management roles, having held posts in Sweden and Switzerland. Selin has a Law degree from the Turku University in Finland.
 
Ralf Tillenburg, EMEA chief executive of XL Catlin Insurance, said: ”EMEA is made up of varied economies, markets and business cultures, our clients are similarly varied, however they all receive, and rightfully expect, the same high levels of service from us. Great claims service does require great leadership, and I believe that Elina’s extensive international experience positions her ideally for this role and I warmly welcome her to our EMEA leadership team.”
