ANZIIF unveils panellists, theme for diversity and inclusion seminar

Australia New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has announced the panellists and the theme for this year’s Diversity and Inclusion Seminar, to be held on June 29 live in Sydney as well as online.

The panellists for this year’s event are as follows:

• Raj Nanra, SLE Holdings chief executive officer (moderator)
• Clair Burke, CHU Underwriting Agencies manager national specialty risk team
• Linh Nguyen, Insightus chief client officer
• Edyta Torpy, Allianz Insurance Australia diversity and inclusion senior manager
• Simon Corcoran, Accenture director and head of diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting for Australia and New Zealand

According to the registration site, the winner for 2023’s Allianz Donna Walker Awards will also be announced at the seminar.

ANZIIF CEO Prue Willsford said that the panel of experts will explore the progress of diversity and inclusion in insurance, as well as sharing their experiences and insights on this year’s theme: “Building a home for inclusion. Overcoming Unconscious Bias.”

"We are thrilled to have such a diverse and talented group of panellists for this year's event,” Willsford said. “Their insights and experiences will be invaluable in helping us promote diversity and inclusion in the insurance industry."

In March, Willsford announced that she will be stepping down from her CEO role in ANZIIF by the end of the year.
