Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS), the risk advisory unit of Zurich Insurance Group, has formed a strategic alliance with GoImpact Capital Partners to address the growing need for climate resilience among businesses in the Asia-Pacific region.

The collaboration aims to equip companies with tools and resources to better understand and respond to climate risks.

This initiative combines ZRS’s climate risk assessment capabilities, including proprietary data and analysis tools, with GoImpact’s sustainability education programs.

Together, the two organisations aim to provide businesses with actionable insights and strategies for managing climate-related challenges.

Key offerings of the partnership

The collaboration offers businesses access to a suite of services designed to build resilience and align with sustainability goals, including:

  • Risk assessments: ZRS provides data-driven analysis to evaluate physical climate risks such as extreme weather and operational vulnerabilities.
  • Resilience planning: Guidance is available for strengthening business operations, assets, and workforce readiness.
  • ESG training: GoImpact delivers educational programs to help companies understand sustainability trends and regulatory expectations.
  • Regulatory compliance: Support is provided to meet climate risk disclosure and reporting requirements.

The partnership primarily targets companies operating in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia, offering solutions tailored to the region’s climate challenges.

Leaders on climate resilience

Dr Amar Rahman (pictured), ZRS global head of climate and sustainability solutions, highlighted the importance of education in addressing climate risks.

“The appetite for implementing effective solutions hinges on understanding the challenges at hand and the potential impact of inaction on business operations,” he said.

He said that combining both organisations’ strengths aims to empower organisations to take meaningful action to safeguard their operations and prepare for future challenges.

Helene Li, CEO and co-founder of GoImpact, emphasised the complementary expertise of the two partners.

“Our combined strengths are complementary and form a holistic toolkit of offering on risk assessment, learning, and advocacy that bridges a significant market gap for large corporations and small medium enterprises alike,” she said.

Launch of climate spotlight tool

The collaboration follows the introduction of ZRS’s Climate Spotlight, a digital tool designed to support climate risk management and strategic planning for businesses and public entities.

The platform offers two options:

  • Core version: A dashboard for assessing climate risks at up to 100 locations worldwide.
  • Expert version: Advanced features, including unlimited site analysis, tailored metrics, and consultation with climate specialists.

Climate Spotlight enables users to analyse risks, monitor hazard evolution, and meet reporting requirements under frameworks like the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
