Aon has made several senior appointments within its reinsurance division across Asia, naming Tom Greenaway (pictured above) as Asia strategic growth leader, SP Hong as president of reinsurance for Korea, and Jay Choi as reinsurance director for Korea.
Greenaway has been with Aon since 2012, serving as a reinsurance treaty broker in Sydney, New South Wales. He holds a Master of Applied Finance degree at the University of New South Wales.
Hong brings over eight years of experience from Korean Reinsurance Company, where he held the roles of senior executive officer and general manager based in Jongro-gu, Seoul.
Choi joins Aon’s Korea reinsurance team as director, supporting the firm’s operations and client service efforts in the market.
Greenaway, Hong, and Choi’s appointments follow the recent promotion of Soeren Soltysiak to the role of CEO for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions division in Asia.
Soltysiak previously held the position of strategic growth leader for the region, Aon described him as a key figure for the global brokerage in shaping their approach across Asia-Pacific.
Alongside Soltysiak, Aon also appointed Musa Adlan as managing director for Asia, expanding his previous responsibilities to include the development of the company’s growth in the region, as well as its product segmentation strategies. He also continues his role as head of Southeast Asia reinsurance solutions.
In 2021, Aon also revamped of its facultative reinsurance operations within the region, combining the Reinsurance Solutions Asia-Pacific facultative team with the Singapore broking center’s facultative reinsurance broking operations.
As part of that major leadership shakeup, Geoff Lambrou was named CEO, facultative – Asia-Pacific. He continues to report to George Attard, APAC CEO of reinsurance solutions, and Andrew Laing, global CEO of facultative for reinsurance solutions.
Outside of Asia, Aon also recently named Steve Clark as global head of claims and client services advocacy within its reinsurance solutions client services function.
