Great American Insurance Group’s Singapore branch has made three key hires for its marine insurance business: Larry Kwok as marine insurance director for North Asia, Linda Tan as director for marine, and Donovan Lam as senior manager for marine and casualty claims.

Kwok will be responsible for the strategic management of marine underwriting and portfolio management in North Asia. He has 18 years of experience in the insurance industry, having held several underwriting and management roles, specialising in marine insurance. He is also a senior associate member of the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).

Tan will be in charge of strategic management of marine underwriting and portfolio management throughout Asia. As an associate member of the Australian Insurance Institute, and having spent more than 20 years in the industry, she has practical expertise in underwriting, servicing, broking and marketing of marine and non-marine insurance products, along with regional account management for facultative and treaty business.

Meanwhile, Lam will oversee the claims management of all marine and casualty insurance operations, seeking to apply best practices and deliver better service to clients. An associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, he has over 27 years of experience in marine insurance claims.
