AmWINS Group continues to expand its line-up after completing an acquisition of multiple insurance programs from brokerage giant Willis Towers Watson.

The global distributor of specialty insurance products already has more than 4,300 employees across 12 countries with more than US$14 billion in annual premium placements and will now look to grow those numbers even further as the programs become part of AmWINS Program Underwriters.

According to a release, the acquired programs involve more than 115 professionals and include offices in Burlington, Vermont; Tampa, Florida; Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Denver, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; Detroit, Michigan; and Hartford, Connecticut. Among them is MountainGuard, which provides underwriting and loss control services for ski resorts throughout North America; and DealerGuard, which includes package coverages for auto, truck and RV dealers.
