In a statement released yesterday, Economical Insurance announced that it is moving its claims team in Kamloops to Lansdowne Village, from the Soccer Central Lounge and Meeting Room at 1550 Island Parkway on McArthur Island.

The insurer also revealed that its other claims team, based in Prince George, will remain where it is and continue to serve customers in the area.

“Our first priority is to our customers,” said Economical Insurance director of claims for the Western Region Trevor Brick. “An insurance policy is a promise and we are delivering on that promise to help them cope with this traumatic experience. We want to get emergency funds in the hands of our customers right away so they can carry on with their lives.”

“We will continue to work with our customers as they transition back to their homes and businesses once they are able to return,” Brick added.

The claims team moving to Lansdowne Village will be based in Suite 211 on 450 Lansdowne Street. The team will offer its services from 10am to 4pm Pacific, open seven days a week.

The other team remaining in Prince George will still be based in the Hedrick Room in the Coast Inn of the North at 770 Brunswick Street.  Their services are open from 8am to 8pm Pacific, also seven days a week.
