AIA Singapore has launched AIA Internship 2024, the insurer's debut internship initiative led by its corporate division.

This six-week program aims to provide students from various higher learning institutions with hands-on experience and a blend of distribution and corporate exposure, equipping them with valuable insights and practical skills essential in the financial services industry.

What to expect from AIA Internship 2024

The internship offers participants:

  • comprehensive industry insights from experienced professionals
  • dual-track experience: Interns will engage with financial services directors and managers to learn about financial planning through observation
  • skills and certification: recognised certifications, including CMFAS licenses, enhancing financial literacy and personal development skills
  • mentorship and networking: Interns will receive guidance from industry professionals and build connections with peers, directors, and managers through fireside chats and events

“Young Singaporeans are seeking meaningful careers with purpose and flexibility. This program addresses their needs by providing valuable skills, mentorship, and a chance to explore a fulfilling career in financial services. We're committed to supporting the younger generation and empowering them to thrive in this evolving economy,” said Alvin Fu, chief distribution officer of AIA Singapore.

Participants will be introduced to the insurance industry, learn about AIA's digital assets, and receive mentorship from a financial services manager. They will also take part in AIA's corporate social responsibility activities and an AIA Vitality telematch. Top performers will receive rewards and a letter of recommendation from AIA.
