Allianz Asia Pacific (AZAP) has officially announced a collaboration with leading business school INSEAD to create a training and certification program that will transform and upskill the insurer’s life and health business agency salesforce.

Under the six-month training program, candidates will be put through a performance-based qualification initiative that will recognize and reward the top-performing agents across seven markets in Asia. The hybrid training program will comprise both online and face-to-face content, and provides access to world-class professors, panel speakers, and industry practitioners. The curriculum will also cover a wide range of topics, including organizational leadership, customer management, marketing, sales, and business strategy, and more.

The training program is fully sponsored by Allianz Asia Pacific and will help agents gather the upskilling needed to stay ahead in the industry. The program’s top qualifiers will also have the chance to complete their training at the INSEAD campus in France. The program itself will be carried out in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Allianz Asia Pacific regional CEO Anusha Thavarajah said that the partnership brings together two world-class firms to create best-in-class opportunities for the insurer’s distribution force.

“It marks a significant step in Allianz Asia Pacific's commitment to developing and investing in our agents, and we are excited to work with INSEAD to equip our agents with future-proof skills and establish a new standard of excellence in the insurance industry,” Thavarajah said. “I believe this partnership is a game-changer that will enable us to attract the best talents in the market and empower our next generation of agency leaders as we develop a more robust and even more resilient distribution channel.”
