John Shaw has made the switch from QBE Australia to global specialty insurer Canopius.  

Appointed as construction and engineering underwriter, Shaw brings with him over a decade of experience in construction and engineering underwriting. He joined QBE in London in 2014 before relocating to manage the firm’s Northern Australia construction portfolio. 

The former construction underwriting manager, who also worked at Allianz and HDI-Gerling, started his insurance career at Royal and Sun Alliance.

Canopius, a founding member of the Construction Consortium at Lloyd’s (CCAL), underwrites direct engineering and construction risks from its London and Singapore offices.
