Global insurer Chubb has appointed Edward Rayfield as head of casualty for its Singapore office. He will report to Liam Burrel, division head of property and casualty insurance.

Rayfield relocates to Singapore from Australia, where he was casualty manager, global broker unit NSW & ACT, for Chubb. Prior to that, he was a casualty underwriter for Chubb in Europe. He has extensive experience in casualty underwriting, having spent most of his career in that domain.

In his new role, Rayfield will be in charge of the day-to-day management of the casualty and work injury compensation portfolios in Singapore, inclusive of all underwriting and market-facing functions. He will also lead product development and other underwriting initiatives to drive the business’ growth.

Adam Clifford, country president for Chubb in Singapore said: “I am excited about the enthusiasm, passion and drive Edward will bring to the casualty team and the Singapore business. Given his global industry experience, strong technical underwriting expertise and proven ability to effectively engage our brokers, I am confident that he is an excellent candidate to lead and drive the expansion in our casualty business.”
