Chubb has created a major accounts division for the Asia-Pacific region, which is a dedicated premium service for its large, global, and multinational clients and business partners in the region.

The division’s services encompass underwriting, risk engineering, and claims, and will include creating bespoke insurance solutions for clients.

Leading the new division will be Doug White, who is current country president of Chubb Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau. In his new role, he will report to Jason Keen, Chubb’s regional head of property & casualty, Asia-Pacific.

White has been in the insurance industry for more than 25 years. He joined Chubb in 2014 in his current role and, prior to joining, he was a managing director for a leading broker.

Meanwhile, Patrick Wong has been appointed to the newly created position of global client executive, North Asia. Reporting to White in his new role, he will serve as the senior relationship manager and single point of contact for Chubb’s large global clients in North Asia.

Wong is presently Chubb’s head of property & casualty for Hong Kong, and is a well-known figure in the local insurance industry with a long and accomplished career. He joined Chubb’s predecessor company in 1991 and, since then, has been an integral member of its property & casualty team, eventually becoming its leader in 2005.

Both appointments will take effect on October 01, 2018.

“We are focused on providing our large, global clients with unrivalled service to meet their evolving risk management needs,” commented Keen. “With Doug and Patrick, both of whom are experienced leaders with strong relationship management skills, our clients and business partners are in excellent hands as we continue to invest in this division to grow with our clients.”
