Marsh has appointed Collin Yap as CEO of its Singapore operations. He reports to James Addington-Smith, CEO for South Asia.

In his new role, Yap will be in charge of delivering Marsh’s range of services and solutions to clients of all sizes across Singapore. He succeeds Iris Teo, who has taken a regional leadership role as Marsh’s insurer consulting group leader for Asia.

Prior to this appointment, Yap was deputy CEO of Marsh Singapore, a role he took up in 2019. Before that, he was CEO of JLT Singapore for four years, and president commissioner of JLT Indonesia for two years. He had previously worked at Marsh from 2006 to 2009 as senior vice president for the ASEAN region.

“Collin combines an understanding of the issues facing companies in Singapore with deep industry knowledge and expertise,” said Addington-Smith. “I look forward to working closely with him as we deliver the services our clients need.”

Yap commented: “Companies across Singapore and Asia have had to manage a wide range of challenges as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and face an uncertain business environment in 2021. I’m excited by the opportunity to work with the talented team in Singapore, which I know well, as we deliver the solutions that we enable our clients to build greater risk resilience.”
