Guy Carpenter & Company, a global risk and reinsurance specialist and a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, has announced the appointment of Vijaya Singh (pictured) as global head of marketing and communications.

In her new role, Singh will lead Guy Carpenter’s branding, public relations, executive thought leadership, digital marketing and internal communications. She will be based in New York.

Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, Singh served as global head of external marketing and public relations at Russell Reynolds Associates, a global executive-search and leadership-advisory firm. She has also held roles at Broadbridge Financial Solutions and ABI Marketing (now Finn Partners).

“I am excited for Vijaya to join us and leverage her experience and capabilities to continue the advancement of our client-centric business model, building greater connectivity with our partners worldwide,” said John Ehinger, head of global operations for Guy Carpenter. “With her impressive pedigree, I am confident that she will be an outstanding addition to our organisation.”
