Global reinsurance brokerage JLT Re has appointed Khun Parkpoome Nivatvongs (Poome) as managing director for Thailand. Based in Bangkok, Poome joins from competitor Willis Re.

A new addition to the company’s Asia Pacific management team, Poome will report to Kenny Moyes CEO of Asia, JLT Re.

Before being hired by JLT Re, Poome was a divisional director at Willis Re, and was based in Singapore. He also simultaneously headed the firm’s Thailand operations. He has held several management roles in Asian Reinsurance Corporation and Tokio Marine, as well as reinsurance manager for Southeast Insurance in Thailand.
