Patrick Graham (pictured) started in his role as CEO of Manulife Hong Kong and Macau on January 1.

Graham oversees Manulife’s business across the two special administrative regions. He is also a member of Manulife’s Asia division executive committee and global leadership team.

According to Manulife, Graham’s appointment, which was announced in October, highlights its commitment to Hong Kong and Macau and its ambitions in the region. Graham has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the insurance and financial services industries across multiple markets in Asia.

Graham joined Manulife from Cigna, where he was most recently CEO for Asia-Pacific. Before Cigna, he spent 14 years in various senior executive roles at GE Capital. He also served as director and treasurer of the US-ASEAN Business Council for almost three years.

“With preparations in place for the border reopening and the expected recovery of the economy in Hong Kong, Manulife is in a unique position to grasp future opportunities to better serve our customers, drive business growth and contribute to the development of the insurance industry in the Greater Bay Area,” Graham said. “Our strong agency force is paramount to the success of our Hong Kong business, and we continue to make strategic investments, such as expanding our office footprint, to ensure our agency force goes from strength to strength.”
