Peak Re appoints Satoshi Ichihara as chief representative in Japan

Peak Reinsurance Company (Peak Re) has appointed Satoshi Ichihara as its chief representative in Japan.

In his new role, Ichihara is responsible for the reinsurer’s operations in Japan. According to a statement by the company, the appointment demonstrates its commitment to serve this key market.

Before joining Peak Re, Ichihara was chief representative of Catlin in Japan. Earlier than that, he held several roles with Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance.

“It is a great pleasure to announce the appointment of Mr. Satoshi Ichihara as Chief Representative of Peak Re in Japan,” said Franz Josef Hahn, chief executive officer of Peak Re. “Ichihara-san brings extensive experience to the position. He will help us to further broaden and deepen our relationships with clients in Japan. We will continue to offer strong support and service to the Japan market and grow with our partners into the future.”

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Peak Re offers reinsurance services in several lines for the Asia-Pacific, EMEA, and Americas markets. It is mostly owned by Fosun International Ltd with Prudential Financial Inc. as a minority owner.
