Swiss Re hires Bianca Willauer to head EMEA property & specialty lines

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Bianca Willauer (pictured) as head of property & specialty lines for its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, effective February 01.

Willauer will be based in Munich and will be responsible for the development and underwriting performance of property & specialty portfolios throughout the region. These include general property, mining & energy, and engineering & construction.

She joins Swiss Re Corporate Solutions from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), which she was part of for 10 years. With over 15 years’ experience in the commercial insurance sector, she has held various leadership roles in underwriting, risk management, and finance.

Willauer holds a PhD in business administration and an MBA from WHU, Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar, Germany.
