Willis Towers Watson has brought in Lihui Gong as head of broking in Hong Kong, reporting to Ben Dunston, head of broking in Asia.

In her new role, Gong will be in charge of the broking operations in Hong Kong including carrier management, facilities development and panels, and implementation of key broking systems. She is also tasked with empowering the company’s broking services with the enhanced use of data and analytics.

Gong has over a decade of experience in the insurance market in Greater China. Before joining Willis Towers Watson, she was with Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) Hong Kong as a relationship manager. She focused on implementing regional growth strategies through close cooperation with strategic partners. She also worked with a diverse cross-section of corporate clients and healthcare institutions on their tailor-made financial lines programmes during her time at JLT, Lockton and Aon-COFCO.

“Lihui brings extensive broking and industry experience which will strengthen our ability to drive optimal outcomes for our clients,” Dunston said regarding the appointment. “We are confident that the expertise she brings and her knowledge of the Hong Kong and China markets will support our ambition to become the foremost insurance broker in Asia.”
