Willis Towers Watson has appointed Ben Dunston as head of broking in Asia. Based in Singapore, he will join the company in March.

In his incoming role, Dunston will help grow key market relationships and carrier management partnerships across all lines of business in Asia. He will work to bring additional strength and diversity to the firm’s leadership team to enhance the development and execution of its operating model, and to drive the next phase of growth for its corporate risk and broking business in Asia.

Prior to joining Willis Tower Watson, Dunston was head of marine at Chubb Singapore. He had also held various key leadership roles in London, such as Chubb Syndicate and Pembroke Managing Agency.

According to Scott Burnett, head of Asia and CEO, corporate risk and broking, Asia at Willis Towers Watson, the broker’s role has evolved over the recent years. The company’s clients are now looking beyond the current risks they face, amid new and disruptive technologies.

“With Ben’s track record and notable reputation within the broking, underwriting and carrier community, his expertise will be invaluable to our regional team,” Burnett said. “The Asia head of broking role is a critical and strategic position, responsible for leading our broking strategy across more than 15 locations in Asia.”
