Willis Towers Watson has appointed Brian Wang (pictured) as head of technology, media & telecommunications (TMT) for North Asia, in its corporate risk & broking business.

In his new role, Wang will support global and regional industry initiatives to bring Willis Towers Watson’s risk solutions to North Asian clients in the TMT industry. He is based in Taiwan and will report to Sirikit Oh, managing director and industry leader for TMT in Asia.

“We are very pleased to have Brian join the TMT industry group and lead our business in North Asia. His experience and leadership, as well as his reputation among industry peers, and keen understanding of the insurance marketplace in Taiwan and China will bring tremendous value to our clients,” said Oh. “As experienced risk advisors, we want to help our clients in the TMT industry craft strategies to quantify, mitigate and transfer risk, and protect their businesses for a sustainable tomorrow.”

Wang has more than 22 years of experience in the insurance industry, including retail and wholesale broking, risk management, specialty, and global business. He joins WTW from Aon Risk Solutions in Taiwan where he was the managing director, chief broking officer, and head of specialty broking.

Prior to Aon Taiwan, Wang was with Marsh for 14 years, where he held several senior roles such as head of marine and aviation, and head of business development.
