Clyde & Co partner Andrew Bicknell (pictured above) has been relocated from London to Singapore to strengthen the law firm’s global energy, marine, and natural resource practice in Asia Pacific. He will be based in the firm’s Singapore office.

Bicknell, a widely recognised practitioner in the global shipping and marine insurance sector, has been working in the industry for over 30 years and was a founding member of Clyde & Co’s Singapore office.

Also relocating to Singapore to support the firm’s Asia Pacific marine insurance recovery claims and casualty practice is associate Callum Gerrish, who will focus on shipping and trade.

The relocations follow recent growth in the firm’s Singapore office. The firm has promoted insurance and reinsurance dispute resolution specialist Vanessa Lim to partner, and hired corporate investigations, regulatory compliance, and commercial disputes partner Weiyi Tan.

“We have been working for clients in the shipping, marine, and natural resources sectors in Asia Pacific for over three decades, and the opportunities for businesses in the region keep on evolving,” said Clyde & Co APAC board partner and chair Chris Jobson. “Andrew and Callum’s relocation will further strengthen our leading practice in the region and no doubt their extensive experience will be invaluable to clients here.”

Clyde & Co remains among the few firms in the region with a dedicated international practice. The firm currently has 58 partners, 300 lawyers, and 13 offices and associated offices in the Asia Pacific region, offering specialisation across practice areas, including energy, marine, international trade, and transportation.
