Bupa Hong Kong has announced the opening of a new diagnostics and imaging centre in Mong Kok at Pioneer Centre. The Alpha Medical Diagnostic Centre was established in collaboration with its healthcare provision arm, Quality HealthCare Medical Services Limited (QHMS), according to a news release.

"At Bupa Hong Kong we give customers an integrated healthcare experience at every touchpoint, from a general practice visit – virtually or in person – to specialist service, to protecting the health of you and your family,” said Fiona Harris, managing director of Bupa Hong Kong. “The opening of the Alpha Medical Diagnostic Centre provides our customers with service they can trust and rely on."

The new 6,000-sq ft facility is the latest addition to QHMS’s network of diagnostic centres, which includes six Alpha Medical Diagnostic Centres, Central Medical Diagnostic Centres, and the Central PET/CT Scan Centre. The centre will also utilise AI technology to enhance testing and analysis precision.

The centre expected to provide timely access to healthcare services to customers. Among its range of diagnostic services include the following:

  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): The advanced MRI system with the value-added AI technology AIR Recon DL automates the scan process and streamlines imaging performance to provide consistently accurate and quick results.
  • Computed tomography (CT): The 256 Slices CT Scanner combines high definition, low dose, and one heartbeat in one scan.
  • 3D mammography and ultrasound: The unified system delivers improved accuracy in diagnostics.
  • General radiography and health screening: This is a collective of health check-ups and general imaging facilities, including digital X-ray, bone densitometry, ultrasound, and treadmill.
  • Dedicated ladies' zone: A dedicated space to cater to the preferences of female patients, ensuring their comfort and privacy.

"With the integration of AI technology, we can offer faster, more accurate, and more timely diagnoses for our customers,” said Elaine Chu, general manager of QHMS. “Our goal is to support the health needs of our customers by offering diagnostic tools and services under one roof, offering convenience and timely access when needed."
